The Miami Palmetto High School Auxiliary and Marching Band officers attended the American Dance Alliance Camp at Florida International University July 8-12.
The band and auxiliary officers were named "The Outstanding Leadership" group and the band officers and "Most Outstanding" for their camp show. The Color Guard was awarded "Best Camp Routine," "Most Improved Rifle and Sabre" and "Best Flag Technique." The Chatonettes Dance Team earned the "Outstanding Camp Routine," "Outstanding Home Routine" and "The Sweepstakes Award." The entire team, Marching Band, Color Guard and Chatonettes also won the "Most Spirited" school award. The Marching Band and Auxiliary will be sponsoring a Flea Market on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Drivers Ed parking lot located on SW 120th Street and SW 74th Avenue. You also can see the Miami Palmetto Marching Band and Auxiliary perform at all the football games this season. |
