The deck boat concept continues to evolve with Sea
Ray's introduction of the new 240 Sundeck.
The redesigned 240 Sundeck combines the convenience
and roominess of a pontoon boat with the performance and looks of a
traditional V-hull design, creating a family boat that is the aquatic
version of the sport utility vehicle.
"Since introducing the Sundeck line in 1996,
we've seen a remarkable increase in consumer interest in the deck boat
style," said Rob Noyes, Sea Ray vice president of marketing.
"It's their incredible flexibility, roominess and features that
have made deck boats so popular."
Sea Ray's Sundeck line, which includes 19- and 21-foot
models, has experienced tremendous growth in popularity thanks to
growing appeal.
Sea Ray's new 240 Sundeck incorporates a host of
enhancements over last year's model, including a racy new exterior
that reflects the flowing lines characteristic of the company's larger
yachts.
"The 240 Sundeck always has been an
extraordinarily popular boat for us, but the new looks will
undoubtedly make it more appealing than ever," said Debbie Davis,
president of MarineMax Bassett in Pompano Beach.
Boaters will find seating for 10, reliable MerCruiser power, swim
platforms and ladders forward and aft, a wet bar and a fully-enclosed
head with a sink, vanity and medicine cabinet. Well-engineered storage
throughout allows the entire family to bring along all of their
favorite watertoys.
"From diving and snorkeling to water-skiing and
cruising, the 240 Sundeck is the pinnacle of sport boats and a
continuation of Sea Ray's reputation for building fun, versatile boats
for the entire family," Davis said.
Just as attractive as the boat are the
"value-added" benefits of doing business with MarineMax.
Benefits such as MarineMax Care, a two-year scheduled maintenance
commitment that's included with the purchase of most new boats at
MarineMax. Customers are invited to participate in group cruises --
called Getaways -- to exciting ports of call.
MarineMax sells new and used recreational boats and
marine products, and operates a boat brokerage business. The Company
has 51 retail locations in 13 states, including Florida.
