Peggy Sapp,
founder of the highly successful Informed Families national drug
prevention program, is shown being presented with the prestigious Jack
Collins Award by Marino Carbonnell, of the South Miami Adolescent
Addiction Treatment Program. The Collins Award is given annually to
the man or woman who has made an outstanding effort in the field of
addiction prevention. Sapp developed Informed Families from a start of
only six volunteer workers into a national, multi-million dollar
outreach program, annually training 6,000 families in drug prevention.
Sapp also is president of National Family Partnership and recently was
given the 1999 National Parents Day Award.
