Curtis Matthews is the epitome of a young man on the

Matthews, 32, is a founder of a new wireless
communications company called Wireless Consultant Network.

Curtis Matthews
"I'm a wireless consultant," Matthews said.
"I will pre-qualify your needs and put you in the right service,
the right carrier for your needs and the right pricing plan."
Matthews says he works with all of the carriers,
including BellSouth, ATT, Primeco, OmniPoint, Nextel and Sprint.
Basically, he says, a client comes to WCN and explains what he needs
in a wireless communication package.
"He may need a phone strictly for emergency
calls," Matthews explained. "Or, maybe he needs to make
frequent long-distance calls, or he has a company with 100 employees
and he needs to maintain contact with each of them. I pre-qualify the
client and determine which carrier will best satisfy his needs."
Matthews says business is booming and ticks off an
impressive list of corporate clients.
"We're working with American Airlines, Dade
County, Broward County, United Airlines, U.S. Customs and Baptist
Health Systems," he said. "When I go to companies and they
meet me and see how I do things, they don't deal with anybody
else."
Matthews says he started to work in the cellular
telephone business in 1986 in its infancy. He says he soon opened
National Communications a short time later, one of the first cellular
telephone companies in South Florida. He says he and his partner, G.
Hudson, saw a need for a consulting operation in the wireless industry
and the formed WCN early last Fall.
"Whether its new service, upgrades,
accessories or questions about wireless needs," Matthews said, "we
do it all. Wireless Consultant Network is the one-stop wireless shop. In
essence, we make the selection and purchase of wireless service hassle free
and convenient."
Once onboard with WCN, clients are regularly sent emails about updated rate
plans, special promotions and changes in the wireless industry.
"We give all of our clients a free email address," Matthews said.
"They can check their email over the phone by calling a toll-free
number. The email is read to the client by a computer and they can even
reply to the message with the phone.
"We also have a website www.wirelessconsultant.net
-- that is set up for ecommerce and is constantly updated with information
about the latest changes in the rapidly growing, fast-changing wireless
industry," Matthews said. "Clients also may access the web page
for updated rate information."
