It will be an Australian theme for this year's edition
of the Pinecrest Elementary School Carnival.
Carnival 2000 Australia Down Under is slated to get
underway at 10:00 AM on Feb. 26.
Among the games and things to do at the event are
Olympic Rock Climbing Walls, a White Shark Dunk Tank and the Bondi
Beach Obstacle Course. There also will be a Great Barrier Reef Maize,
the Koala-Walla Miniature Golf Course and a Giant Slide. Plenty of
music and dancing is planned, along with raffle
give-aways by Action Pak DJs.
Even this year's food offerings carry a down-under taste, what with the
likes of Queensland Crepes, a Sydney Caesar Salad, Tasmanian hot dogs, Perth
Pizza and Boomerang Burgers. The Ugarte family will provide homemade meat
pies for the more traditionally oriented and there will be Italian ices,
Fruitopia, sodas and water served at the Billabong. And, of course, there
will be fruit tarts, apple streusel and cotton candy to satisfy the most
demanding sweet tooth.
Tickets to this year's funfest are $3 in advance for a strip of 10, or $4 at
the door.
