SunDance Marine, with a 20-year history of quality
sales and service in the South Florida boating industry, has opened a
new dealership in South Miami-Dade.
Brian Bolender is ready for business in South Dade at SunDance Marine
The new SunDance facility, located at 17600 So. Dixie
Highway, is the fifth outlet for the company. The main office, a sales
and service marina facility, is located in Ft. Lauderdale, at 1335 SE
16 Street. Another marina operation is located in Jensen Beach, while
other sales outlets are located in Pompano and Stuart.
"A lot of the dealers have moved to Broward
County over the last 15 years and the manufacturers were in need of a
quality dealership in South Dade," said Brian Bolender, manager
of the new operation. "Joe Clawges, our owner, just felt there
was a need for a SunDancer dealership in this area and so did our
manufacturers."
Bolender, who has worked in the marine industry for
the last four years after spending 22 years in South Florida real
estate, said the new dealership will carry four lines of boats
Fountain, Donzi, Robalo and Monterey and span
the market for cruising, fishing, diving and
high-performance watercraft. Eventually, he said, he expects to have
40 new boats on display on the two-thirds-acre property, as well as
boats taken on trade-in.
"We'll carry boats from 65 to 24 feet on the
Fountain line," he said, "while the Donzi line goes from 45
feet to 22 feet, Robalo ranges from 17 feet to 26 feet and the
Monterey line is from 18 feet to 32 feet presently.
"The least expensive boat is the 18-foot Edge, a
nice little family ski boat, a runaround bay boat made by
Monterey," he continued. "And, the 65-foot Fountain is our
most expensive boat at about $1.8 million."
Bolender added that the new Sundance operation
ultimately will also offer sales, service and parts for Mercury
Outboards.
