Inc. and Judge Bonnie Rippingille, of the South Dade Justice Center.
The three, along with Elisa Vilano Chovel, a founder of Operation
Pedro Pan; Enid Curtis Pinkney, an educator and author; and Marivel
Prado, president and owner of a marketing, advertising and public
relations agency, were honored with Women of Impact awards, given by
the Community Coalition for Women's History, Inc. and the Historical
Museum of Southern Florida. The award recognizes contributions on
behalf of women and the community. Portraits of the women and their
oral histories were added to the museum archives.
