The Kiwanis Club of Coral Gables awarded this year's
Pat Murphy Small Business Award to Carlos Bolado, owner of J. Bolado
Clothiers of Coral Gables.
Past winners and this year's winner at the Kiwanis Luncheon: (Left to

Clothiers, Bud Thompson, Coral Gables Air Conditioning, and
KenThompson, Coral Gables Air Conditioning.
David Carroll, president of Carroll's Jewelers,
presented the award during a Tuesday meeting of the Kiwanis. Carroll
chairs the award committee for the Kiwanis and is a longtime member of
the club.
Criteria for the award includes quality of service,
quality of business practices, employee relations, fair competition,
civic involvement and company growth.
The award is named in honor of Pat Murphy, a loyal
Kiwanian for many years and the owner-operator of Coral Gables Air
Conditioning for 38 years. Murphy died in 1981.
