Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and community
leaders toured the Miami River and discussed both the dredging strategy and the cost of
removing the contaminated sediment from this important South Florida waterway.

Eighty percent of this important project will be paid by the federal government. The
dredging of the river will take five to six years and cost approximately $63.5 million. |
