 Nearing
completion is the renovation and construction of the new façade on
the old Luria's store in the Wild Oats Shopping Center that will house
the new home of Azhar's Oriental Rugs. Francisco Garza, a sales
representative with Azhar's, said the company hoped to move its
headquarters from Dadeland into the Pinecrest location, at 11905
Pinecrest Parkway (So. Dixie Highway), before the end of February.
Azhar's is owned by Azhar Said and has been selling
hand-knotted Oriental rugs in Miami-Dade for 15 years. The company has
several stores scattered around the county. Garza said Azhar's lease
was ending at Dadeland and owner Azhar Said decided to re-locate the
business to Pinecrest. Said, he said, is in Pakistan on a buying trip.
