Now
that the calendar has rolled over to 2000 and we still have
telephones, electricity and all other resources, it time to parade.
Mark your calendars for the Village's Fourth Anniversary Parade and
Picnic. The date is set for Saturday, March 11, 2000 beginning at 9:00
a.m. from Kendall Methodist Church. Bands, clowns, antiques cars and
more will march down to Coral Pine Park. If your group, organization
or association would like to participate, please let us know by
contacting our Parks Superintendent, Loren Matthews at 305-234-2116 or
myself. Looking forward to another great parade and all of the picnic
fun at the park. This will be our last trek on this route (next year
we'll parade from Palmetto Elementary School to the new Pinecrest
Park), so prepare to line up on S.W. 104 Street and catch those
t-shirts.
I am still slowly but I'll getting around to those of
you with neighborhood concerns and/or positive feedback that you want
to share. Performing these weekend walking and/or bike riding tours of
all the Village neighborhoods has really been a great way to meet with
fellow residents to explore any and all concerns or suggestions
regards Pinecrest. I do have quite a long list but promise to visit
all on the list. I will more that welcome any fellow participants, and
especially your input as to what I need to look at for now and the
future. If you'll like me to especially visit your block, please
contact me at the number below.
Thank you for your continued support of the Village of
Pinecrest and its Council. I can be reached at 305-234-8299, P.O. Box
