Moving
to bolster its supervisory staff, the Pinecrest Police Department has
promoted two officers to the rank of Sergeant.
Commander
Michael Liotti said the officers gaining the promotions were Connie Rogan,
36, and Adam Weinberg, 28. Rogan
is a former Naples, FL police officer and has been with the Pinecrest
department for two years. Weinberg has been an officer with the police
departments of Clearwater and the City of Miami. He has been on the
Pinecrest force for 18 months. Liotti
said the department now has a full complement of officers, with five
sergeants, two lieutenants, a Commander and a Chief of Police rounding out
the upper echelon. Currently,
there are 39 police officers on the Pinecrest force, with one more working
through the police academy. Liotti said several job offers will be extended
within the next week and he hoped to bring the department up to its full
budgeted complement of 45 officers by the end of the year.
