The Knapp family of Pinecrest is $2,500 richer thanks
to a grand opening promotion random drawing by the new Florida Savings Bank which opened
its doors in April.

Florida Savings Bank winners are (l-r) Charlie Knapp, Charles
Knapp, Nancy Knapp, bank president Robert L. Bonnet, and Stephanie Knapp.
Charles and Nancy Knapp along with their two children, Stephanie and Charlie
recently visited the bank located at 8181 SW 117 St. (Old Suniland Post Office) to
claim their prize check from President Robert L. Bonnet. They quickly turned around and
deposited it in two passbook savings accounts held by their children.
"We received something in the mail that introduced us to Florida Savings
Bank," explained Mr. Knapp. We were interested in finding a bank that better suited
our needs and this seemed to be perfect timing."
In addition to what became their winning number on this direct-mail piece from Florida
Savings Bank, a 5 percent APY Passbook Savings Account, a very attractive nine-month CD
rate and other features were announced. These all helped influence the Knapp family.
"The passbook reminds me of when I was a kid," Mr. Knapp said. "It was,
and is, fun to see your money grow."
Two other characteristics contributed to the Knapps becoming customers and will no
doubt keep them as customers. One is the convenient location and the other is the customer
service.
"Everyone is so nice," Mrs. Knapp said. "They are so customer oriented
and even know my name. Im not a number and there is someone right here that can help
with any question."
This is in keeping with the banks theme "the difference is our
service." Its also a part of the banks mission statement referring to
"ultimate customer service."
Bonnet said that this is what will keep the bank going on its already successful
course.
Mr. Knapp has already recommended the bank to family and friends.
"I want to see this institution grow," he said, quickly adding, "I want
to see my money grow."
Charles and Nancy Knapp are both native Miamians. He is a pharmacist and she is a
second-grade teacher at St. Thomas Episcopal School. Their daughter is in her second year
as a biology major at Florida International University with plans to be a veterinarian.
Their son will be a senior at Palmer Trinity. The family attends Christ the King Lutheran
Church.
Florida Savings Bank is an OTS federally-chartered savings institution and deposits are
all FDIC insured.
