Hazel Goldman-Murphy

Hazel Goldman-Murphy wants the acquisition of a home to be a pleasant experience so she has assembled reliable assistants to help her in handling all aspects of discovering a dream house. Whether selling or buying property, Goldman-Murphy’s staff is ready for you. Her familiarity of the business has helped to create a well conceived plan and her enthusiasm is contagious.

Why a team approach? Goldman-Murphy knows that real estate is a job that takes place 365 days a year. Weekends are prime time to show houses and her team is ready and willing to be there.

"The staff allows me to do everything humanly possible to get the job done. They bounce ideas off each other and they get a lot of me. They work with me, not for me," Goldman-Murphy said.

"This is an interesting trend," she said, referring to team efforts. "Few agents follow it through because of the funds and paperwork needed to implement a team. The ‘team approach’ is being used with great success all over the nation, but there is a great deal of paperwork, a thick paper trail."

Goldman-Murphy has resolved this problem by not only working from Arvida Realty Services’ Pinecrest branch, but by furnishing her home office with modern technological equipment, including a large computer screen where buyers can view a slide show of home choices in comfort.

Additionally, the photographs may be sent via e-mail anywhere in the world saving time and enabling out-of-towners to see what is available. Attractive brochures also are produced there.

In the competitive world of real estate, an imaginative approach is crucial.

"It takes a lot of creativity to jump out of a box," Goldman-Murphy said.

It may be a reason she is a distinguished member of the PREA Top 100, which is a group of the leading 100 agents in North America out of Prudential’s 37,000 agents.

When you hire Goldman-Murphy the licensed agents and support staff are part of the package. This includes husband and Realtor-Associate, W. Scott Murphy. Trained by Goldman-Murphy, her team also includes bilingual hosts and hostesses always available for open houses who may tell potential buyers about other houses for sale that day.

Goldman-Murphy, often found working from 7 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, conducts client conferences, all of the evaluations, analysis of property and negotiations.

Husband Scott runs the business on weekends and nights, and helps everyone to be more productive. In addition, Scott is an administrator with Miami-Dade County Schools where he specializes in programs for the emotionally or physically challenged. He is a marine archeologist and enjoys sailing with Goldman-Murphy.

Goldman-Murphy earned a bachelor of arts in mathematics, a master’s degree in guidance and counseling, and continues to educate herself in the real estate field. She recently has completed a level III Intensive Spanish language program. Goldman-Murphy has utilized her skills quite often.

"Before I make you ‘homeless,’ I like people to know where they are going. Everyone needs to know where they are going. I love what I do and those I meet. New hearts are involved. For the time I am working with a family, I become part of them."

Scott and Hazel raise the most beautiful roses and orchids at their Pinecrest home. They scatter them in vases throughout their house, chosen for its prime location and enjoyed by both. They share a love of travel in their spare time.

Goldman-Murphy, who has lived in the Palmetto-Pinecrest area since 1974 is the mother of two children, one stepdaughter and two step grandchildren. She is a member of the 11th Circuit Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee "C" and participates in numerous Pinecrest Village committees.
