Deering Hospital and Doral Palms Hospital recently
honored 15 students from Miami Palmetto Senior High School during the "A Diamond In
The Rough" recognition luncheon.

The students showed marked improvements in the classroom
during this past school year. Each of the students received a U.S. Savings Bond
complements of Sofisa Bank of Florida. Pictured (front center) are: Jude Torchia, chief
executive officer of Deering Hospital, and Millie Fornell, principal of Miami Palmetto
